Hi there! I'm not sure why your ruffle is ripping. That's so weird! I'm thinking maybe you should try using a needle for stretch fabric...sometimes regular needles on a sewing machine can really eat up knits. Also another trick is to spray starch on your knits, then they feed through the machine a bit easier.
So sorry you're having troubles! My daughter is OBSESSED with Dora too!
