Look what I made!!!

So I have taken an interest in crafts and I used to sew but its been a long time. Well I got the itch and my Mammaw had a sewing machine that was brand new never before used and she let me use it! Thank goodness cause now I am hooked and have so many things I want to make!!!
Here is where I found the cute idea : Bandanna Skirt

I just love how easy and cute it was!
My finished product!

And my cutie wearing it! She loved it and did not want to take it off! Not exaggerating!

Just want to have fun!

The kids and us were all having fun with Stormie's shopping cart. They loved for Manche to push them in it. Seth would push Stormie and then Manche would push Seth!
How sweet is this?

LOVE Seth's face! He was really enjoying it!

Then they wanted on our shoulders!

Love having family fun time!

Potty Trained!

So I think it is official. She is potty trained! I have lost count of how many days now ;) But she has been doing so great, even during the surgery and all she stayed dry and has all week! YIPPY! I could not be happier!
Since Sadie Grace took a hold of potty training and was doing good I guess Stormie had to do the same. Plus I put up a sticker chart and had fun stickers like Dora, horses, cats, cows and more of her favorites and well it did the trick! She does not even ask for a sticker now! I am so so proud of her! I still put her in a pull up or diaper at night and she hates it! She says NO ! I panties! every time. And I have tried to allow her to sleep in them and she stayed dry three nights in a row but has wet some nights too and that is a pain ha ha! So until we are really really potty trained like for a while then diapers are a must at night :)!
I carry her little potty everywhere so if she needs to go and there is no bathroom then she can still go! Great Idea! It has been great many times!
We were leaving my grandparents house the other day and she saw her potty and wanted to use it ha ha outside!
Too cute!

Update about surgery

I have to add more space on here and I have not got a chance to do it yet. So when I do more pictures to come.
But in the meantime. Here is an update.
Stormie's surgery went great! She was doing pretty good at first, soon as we left she was eating french fries and ice cream and drinking. She continued to eat and did pretty good on Wednesday. She even wanted to play outside. But I would not let her. Then yesterday, she was pretty quite all day would not eat and barely would drink. She had gained a higher temperature. And last night was running fever. This morning she was not doing very good and she threw up so I called the doctor and they are suppose to call in antibiotics. But since she threw up she has been playing some and even ate a few bites. I am hoping that the healing process will hurry up so she can feel better and we can enjoy this pretty weather.
More to come as soon as I upgrade to more space :)

1st Surgery

Just wanted to update everyone on Stormie.
She will be having her first surgery on March 9th.
She will have her tonsils and adenoids removed.
As many of you know she has not been sleeping well and her tonsils are HUGE!
So it is best to get them out now. Her doctor said if we do not do it now we will have to later.
So keep us in your prayers and I will update when I get a chance

XOXO

Rainbow Cake

On the snow day Mrs. Jan and I got bored so we decided to bake a 6 layer cake that we both had been wanting to make.
Very time consuming but fun!
Stormie was our first taste tester.

Mmmm icing is good.
Our cake mix that we dyed.
Cutting off the excess to make it level.
Applying icing.

Mrs. Jan applying some icing with a very old icing decorator that was her moms and it was what her mom used when she was growing up on her cakes. Neat huh?

Finished product. Our icing was not very firm so it was not doing right - lesson learned!
Seth eating icing after being in the snow for so long his ears and nose just about matched the icing :)
When you slice it open it will look like this:

Stormie thinking mmmm I need to dive into that....
And if you would like to make your very own then just go here and get the recipe and view another cake.
Ours was not as great as the one in the other blog. We used a heart shape cake pan since it was Valentines Day weekend. I think if we used a circle pan and store bought icing it would of been firmer and sturdier.

Snow In February!!

We had a large snow a few weeks ago and I am just now updating my blog.

Stormie at first kept saying "COOL"

Following Daddy everywhere.
Awww
Love pictures like this!

Rode in the rhino

We went to Mawmaw and Pawpaws to play in snow with Seth and Cody.
Seth and Cody were constantly throwing a snow ball.
Stormie checking it out.

Seth by our pond on our other land.

Stormie was fine for a little bit then she ended up hating it. She has done this every time it has snowed.
Priceless picture!

Stormie loves to ride horses so no matter how cold she still wanted to ride.
